The Electronic Home Inspector Report
More and more home inspectors are beginning to use electronic reporting methods. These inspectors use tablet PC's, laptops or hand held devices to document what is being inspected. More often these documents are nicely laid out and printed for clear and easy review. Some inspectors will print on-site while others deliver by a specified time or offer access codes for internet retrieval. If your inspector has gone digital...ask "When will you deliver the report?"
The Pre-printed Home Inspector Report
Many home inspector prefer the pre-printed reporting system that is customized on site with the inspectors hand written notes. These reports are always delivered on-site immediately following the inspection.
The Combination Home Inspector Report
Home inspectors often use combinations of the above two reporting systems.
